Who: For youth who are new to chess. This workshop will prepare you to later take the Chess Merit Badge Class.

1. Learn the Basics of Chess in a one-day workshop.


2. Meet other students interested in chess.


3. Play in a chess tournament.


4. Learn about the scope of chess in the world today, find resources to improve your game, and find out how you can participate in chess competitions, classes, and activities.


5. Earn a Learn Chess Certificate.


6. After the workshop, you will be prepared to take the Chess Merit Badge workshop!


Cost & Requirements: The online workshop is $20 per student.
